Principal Environmental Consultant

Progressive Global Energy are in partnership with an exciting consultancy who focus both in the Oil and Gas and Renewable Sectors. Due to an influx of new projects with some of the most innovative and exciting companies in both core markets, there is a requirement to bring on an experienced Principal Environmental Consultant to join the small and tight knit team of Environmental Specialists

This is a pivotal in the development of the company's International Oil and Gas Unit, assisting in the preparation and management of Environmental Impact Assessments for international, marine renewable energy and offshore oil and gas projects.

In addition the successful candidate will be involved in the following;

1 Customer management
2 Work winning
3 Project Management
4 Hands on Project Work

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES

1 Experience of Oil and Gas
2 Good academic background (marine environmental discipline)
3 Well developed background knowledge in marine biology,ecology and EIA techniques
4 Understanding of the overseas market and experience in working in foreign countries
5 Ability to gather, assimilate and analyse information about physical, chemical and biological and social environments and environmental regulatory requirements
6 Ability to gather, assimilate and analyse information that may not relate to your core discipline e.g engineering for oil and gas and renewable energy projects, or the output from environmental modelling studies.
7 Good communication, time management skills and a strong team player

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES

1 Previous experience of working in a consultancy
2 Experience of the marine renewable energy sectors
3 Environmental Management System Experience
