Principal Engineer - Operability

PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - OPERABILITY

A Principal Engineer - Operability with subs, systems and defence experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Cumbria.

This is a 6 month contract working for a UK leading defence company.

OVERVIEW OF THE PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - OPERABILITY CONTRACT ROLE

Our leading defence client are currently recruiting for a Principal Engineer the successful candidate would ideally have the following experience.

- System Operability Assessments
- Area Operability Assessments (includes time spent interrogating Successor FORAN/CAD model)
- C & I elicitation workshops
- Damage control and Fire Fighting workshops

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - OPERABILITY

- Ex-Submarine Engineer with knowledge and supervisory experience of submarine systems, propulsion systems, power generation and distribution.
- Management experience within a submarine engineering environment.
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm and strong written and verbal communication skills

The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District.
