My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, are looking to recruit a Principal Engineer - Design & Quality to join their Design division on a long-term contract basis.

Position Description:
Principal Engineer within the Design Quality & Technical Team. The role will involve supporting the 3D creation of surfaces with regards to manufacturing feasibility of injection mould tooling to achieve the A surface appearance & texturing to deliver premium quality components within programme timing and to cost.

Experience Required:
CAD design experience, ability to take 3D virtual information into 3D physical forms
Proficient understanding of tooling design and feasibility to support manufacturing 3D surfaces Experience in project managing injection mould tools from surface release and through the supply chain

Education Required:
Previous work experience within automotive tooling and project management
Tool and component design for feasibility of manufacturing
Toolmaking methodology and understanding of engineering materials

Education Preferred:
Preferred to be qualified to degree level in Design discipline
