This is a Principal Datacenter Architect position supporting engineering and operations teams for industry leading Cable MSOs. The Datacenter Architect will provide support and guidance to the team responsible for deploying IP NGN solutions for residential and business subscribers.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as the candidate will be responsible for communication and explanation of key deliverables to the customer
- Ability to perform highly technical L1, L2 and L3 troubleshooting to determine root cause of software or hardware failure issues
- Expert level knowledge of Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS etc.), MPLS (L2& L3 VPNs),VPLS, Multicast, QoS, IPv6 and other related technologies
- In-depth/hands-on working knowledge of Cat6500, Nexus 7k, 7600, CRS-1, ASR9K and other related platforms
- Strong internetworking troubleshooting skills in a large-scale network environment
- Ability to work with Cisco Business Unit Development Engineering & Testing organizations to debug and resolve causes of highly-complex software or hardware issues
- Ability to provide Lifecycle Services to customers based on communication with the customer, account teams and project managers
- Skills to perform IOS Risk Assessments, Bug Scrubs, code recommendations based on customer requirements required
- 3-5 years of related experience working with Service Providers
- CCIE in R&S or SP

Other desirable skills include:

- Knowledge of Cable MSO networks
- Familiarity with DOCSIS protocol, CMTS (uBR7246VXR, uBR10012) and other Cable technologies
- Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, TFTP and other related protocols
- Knowledge of Service Provider Video Networks
- Typically requires BS, CS, or University degree equivalent plus 6-8 years experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment
- Advanced degree strongly preferred
