Principal Consultant - Information Architect

My client a leading QLD employer is looking for an Enterprise Architect to join their team on an initial 2 month contract basis with possibility of extension. To be considered for this role - Enterprise Architect - applications experience providing solutions essential.

- Develop and seek approval for ICT Enterprise Architecture enabling policy
- Finalise low level Architectural Principles (Business, Data/Information, Application, Technology) in alignment with approved Enterprise Architecture Principles
- Develop Architecture Capability Maturity Roadmap, including training and development requirements analysis across Skills, Roles and Teams within Information Services
- Review and update Architectural Governance (including Terms of Reference for architectural committees/boards), and integrate with IT project delivery and IT operations processes (ITIL change, release and so on)
- Review and update the Architectural engagement model (Projects Architecture, Business Architecture, IT Operations Architecture)
- Review and update Architectural Templates (Conceptual Architecture, High Level Design, Low Level Design, As Built, and Architectural Compliance Assessment) and embed them into project delivery.

EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 10 years' experience as an Enterprise Architect in large scale, complex environments.
- Appropriate business and computing qualifications and substantial knowledge and/or minimum 6 years' experience as a solution architect in a large complex organisation on activities of comparable scale and complexity.
- Expertise in analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Expertise in solution designing is essential.
- Proven experience and success in contracts of a similar size and scope.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional task management skills.
- Experience/knowledge of the applications of IT in local government would be highly regarded
- Experience/knowledge of the industry and Enterprise Architecture frameworks is essential.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

- Demonstrated experience in design, configuration and delivery of enterprise solutions supporting business transformation objectives.
- Minimum TOGAF V9.0 certification with demonstrated experience and is essential.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiar with Prince 2 and ITIL frameworks but not essential.
- Non Technical competencies:
- Demonstrated problem solving skills particularly with respect to working with a diverse range of stakeholders and solving and influencing complex organisational, procedural and policy issues
- Experience in developing and delivering presentations and facilitating workshops to all levels of staff within an organisation
