Principal Commodity Specialist (Supply Chain)

Our Defence Client based in Lincoln is looking to recruit a Principal Commodity Specialist (Supply Chain) on an initial 6 months contract. Market Rates on offer. Candidate must be SC Cleared or able to gain clearance.

Role:

- The Commodity Manager will manage the Supply Chain activities in support of the Sentinel Platform contract extension. Primary responsibilities will be to negotiate and manage complex supplier agreements of various types both Domestic and International.
- You will anticipate and fulfil customer needs in support of current and future programmes.
- The Commodity Manager is highly skilled in providing cutting edge and innovative supply chain solutions that will influence programme cost and schedule performance.
- Develop RFQ to Domestic and International Supplier
- Negotiate and Manage Complex Supplier agreements
- Dispute resolution and Terms & Condition
- Identifies, develops and implements Spend to Save initiatives

Skills:

- Knowledge of supply chain toolsets
- Analytical and innovative problem solver
- Extensive experience of supply chain solutions
- IT literate - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet

Desirable:

- CIPS
- Experience of SAP ERP System
