Principal Civil Engineer

The successful candidate would be involved in the engineering design of highways schemes, drainage and sustainable drainage systems, earthworks design and analysis and associated civil infrastructure. They will work on their own initiative, and supervise and support junior team members, as well as Liaising with clients, local authorities and representatives from external organisations.

There will be the occasional need to make an overseas trips.

They will need the ability to use computer modelling software for Drainage, earthworks and road design (civil 3D, Windes, MX, PDS) and experience in the production of detailed design information, technical reports, drawings, tender documents & specifications for private developments. The ideal candidate will be familiar with design standards such as sewers for adoption, manual for streets, design manual for roads & bridges and relevant British or European standards and have experience in design of highways and drainage infrastructure to adoptable standards including the negotiation of Section 104, 38 and 278 agreements.
