Principal Architect (12 Months Contract)

A GLOBAL LEADER IN THE AVIATION INDUSTRY IS SEEKING TO HIRE A SELF MOTIVATED SEASONED PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT WITH EXPERIENCE IN LARGE OLTP APPLICATION ARCHITECTURE, TO BE BASED IN DUBAI.

The Principal Architect is primarily accountable for designing, developing and managing the solution architecture of the Client's business groups in alignment with corporate business and IT strategies, ensuring appropriate balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements.

Leading a team of architects to deliver architecture for the assigned area, your role involves guiding the development of solution scenarios/stakeholder model and identifying and evaluating appropriate strategic solution options. You are also required to contribute to the development and maintenance of Architecture Guiding Principles, drawing on architectural knowledge and experience. You also need to track technologies and new business innovations, determine how they relate to our IT strategy, existing standards, platforms and patterns, and lead the work to amend the existing assets or create new assets to reflect changes in the technology landscape. You are expected to lead the development and documentation of architectural patterns and solution designs for use in solutions.

Qualifications

To be qualified, you must be a Bachelor's degree holder with atleast 6 years of architectural experience from an airline or banking industry. Should have experience in SOA, Integration, JAVA/JEE/Spring/Hibernate/No SQL and other open source technologies. You should have excellent experience in large OLTP (ONLINE TRANSACTION PROCESSING) application architecture.You should have Process Improvement Techniques Knowledge of Six Sigma or Green Belt Certified. Experience in the airline domain is a a plus.
