Due to the long term absence of a current Year 4 teacher, a Client School in Salford are looking for a Primary teacher with KS2 experience to work on a full time basis until the end of academic year. The position is available immediately and any interested candidates are urged to apply straight away to avoid missing out on this opportunity.

Located on the border of Salford and Trafford, this high achieving Primary School has around 320 pupils on roll and an average number who speak English as an additional language. Pupils make good progress throughout key stage 1 and are often on track or above the expectations in both Literacy and Numeracy. Teaching throughout the School is good and in some cases outstanding, pupils feel safe and free to express themselves throughout their learning development.

The successful applicant will take control of a good Year 4 class, there are 29 pupils in the group and a slight majority are girls. You will be supported by a dedicated teaching assistant who will be starting a PGCE in September. The School has good facilities throughout, most notably the ICT suite which was built in 2011 and available to class teachers for lesson preparation.

Previous experience in key stage 2 is essential for this role, ideally within Year 4 however the Head is happy to consider a Primary teacher who can adapt and follow the Schools ethos thoroughly. You will work alongside a parallel Year 4 teacher, enabling you to share lesson ideas and plan effectively. Behaviour in School is good and pupils are fully aware of the expectations set by the leadership team.
