A Client Primary School in the Tameside area of Manchester are looking for a Primary teacher with experience to work until the end of academic year. The role will involve working in a small alternative class, which facilitates education for 9 pupils with varying learning difficulties and levels of ability.

Located in an urban area of Tameside, the School is around 10 minutes from the M67 which connects directly to the M60. Larger than average with around 300 pupils on roll, the vast majority are from a White British heritage. The School has a higher than average proportion of students with a learning difficulties or a statement for special educational needs. The provision for SEN is 'Outstanding' and the Head teacher is proud of the reputation the School has within the LEA.

The successful applicant will take responsibility for a small alternative class, 9 pupils are supported fully by 2 Teaching Assistants. The children have varying learning difficulties, mild to moderate mainly and most are in the process of receiving a statement for special needs. Initially this is a temporary role from the 15th of April until the end of academic year in July.

The School's last Ofsted report commented on the extremely high standard of teaching, which is consistently good with some elements of outstanding. The Head teacher is highly supportive of staff and works closely with the Deputy Head who has a 0.5 teaching role in School. This is an exciting opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
