If you are a confident and outgoing Primary teacher looking for a role that will run up until the end of this academic year, then this opportunity could be ideal for you.

A slightly larger than average Primary School in the Rochdale area of greater Manchester require an experienced Primary Teacher to work in a Year 1 class after the Easter half term break. The successful candidate will need to have previous experience teaching Year 1 children who speak English as an additional language.

The School was last graded as "good" by Ofsted, with a special mention relating to the personal development of pupils and friendly atmosphere throughout. The quality of teaching is good and teachers deliver the curriculum in a lively and vibrant style, which contributes to the levels of achiemvent and enjoyment pupils have. With just over 300 pupils on roll, this is a larger than average Primary School with high levels of EAL. A large majority of pupils are of minority ethnic heritage and just under a third are at an early stage of English acquisition.

Located close to the central area of Rochdale, the School is easily reachable and is around a 20 minute walk from the train station which runs directly along the main route to Manchester Victoria. Access for candidates with their own methods of transport is also straight forward; with the School being around 10 minutes drive from junction 21 of the M62 motorway.

Ideally the Head teacher is looking for a confident and assured Primary teacher, with previous experience in key stage 1. EAL experience is desirable due to the high proportion of students who speak English as their second language.
