Experienced Primary teacher required to cover maternity in an "outstanding" Primary School in Manchester.

A Client Primary School located in Manchester is looking for a Primary teacher to cover maternity in one of their Year 3 classes until the end of academic year!

If you are a talented key stage 2 teacher with previous experience in Year 3 or 4 then this position could be ideal for you.

This larger than average Primary School in Manchester is looking for a passionate and experienced teacher to cover maternity until the end of academic year initially, with a view to the position potentially becoming permanent. One of the Year 3 teachers has left the School earlier than expected to go on maternity and the Head is looking for an experienced key stage 2 specialist to take over the class.

The School is larger than average with around 460 pupils on roll, with the majority residing in the local and surrounding areas. The intake of pupils for whom English is an additional language is around the average, as is the number of pupil eligible for free school meals.

You will be teaching in a Year 3 class that has a slightly higher number of boys than girls, there is one statemented child in class who has the fulltime support of an experienced LSA. The School is well resourced and has a modern feel throughout; classes are facilitated well with state of the art ICT software and learning resources.

Ideally you will be a confident classroom practitioner with a previous track record in lower key stage 2. Interviews for this position will be held week ending the 8th March, so do not miss out on this opportunity. The current class teacher will be leaving on maternity and the Head has hinted that this role could become permanent from September 2013.
