Primary Care Accountant

* Job Title: Primary Care Accountant * Employer: NHS PCT * Location: South East * Rate: £20-30 per hour (negotiable) * Contract: 3 months Real Staffing are supporting an NHS PCT in the South East who are looking for a hands-on Primary Care Accountant to provide additional cover during a handover of services. As the interim Primary Care Accountant, you will work with the Associate Director of Finance and Primary Care Finance Manager in ensuring a smooth transition during the year-end period. As the interim Primary Care Accountant, your primary duties and responsibilities will include: * Maintained GMS, PMS budgets * Monitoring and reporting on dental budgets * Financial control of contract payments through Payment Online (POL) system * Liaising with budget holders * Prepayments, accruals and cost-pressures * Budget setting, forecasting and variance analysis * Year-end support and ad-hoc assignments Essential Skills: * NHS PCT or CCG/CSU experience * Management of PCT Dental budgets * Use of Payment Online (POL) system * PCT management accounting background * Good communication and system skills PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will not be suitable or considered without all of the essential skills listed above.
