An opportunity has arisen with one of our major rail industry clients for a Pricing Manager on a 9 month contract.

The Pricing Manager is required to work on a major service based in the South East of England and to oversee pricing and fare related issues while dealing with stakeholders. The role will be responsible for managing the relationship with the operator in relation to fares (regulation and pricing) and marketing franchise requirement and to provide expert advice on passenger revenue implications for changes to the Franchise. This role reports to the Business Change Manager and will provide support to the rail commercial division.

The role will provide strategic oversight of pricing, fares and marketing issues on the network and work with the finance team to ensure consistency of approach across train operators to facilitate the organisation's objectives. The position is responsible for service design, redesign and the subsequent operational delivery, ongoing success and continuous improvement. Working with senior stakeholders to define the strategy for one or more services. Create prioritised product/service descriptions and delivery plans to meet user needs in a cost effective way. Engage with technical staff and suppliers to define the best system and platform configurations to achieve business/user objectives.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

. Experience of fares pricing and analysis within the rail industry
. Understanding of the Railway fares regulation and impact on pricing
. Knowledge of National Rail Conditions of Carriage and railway byelaws and legislation
. Using PDFH or other recognised revenue forecasting/modelling tools
. Working with the railway ticketing, fares and ticket retailing systems; procedures and arrangements
. Knowledge of Ticketing and Settlement Agreement
. Able to put in place and follow functional systems
. Stakeholder management experience
. Able to use rail industry systems such as MOIRA and LENNON (preferred)
