Projektbeschreibung

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Senior Media Relations Manager in the development and delivery of a media relations strategy for the EDF Energy brand and the company's sponsorship portfolio, including the EDF Energy London Eye, as well as supporting media activity associated with the ESCS business unit.

To provide advice and guidance on media relations issues to the Brand Group and various areas of ESCS.

To support the delivery of the wider corporate communications strategy in line with the company ambitions and business objectives

To develop strong working relationships with retained communications agencies, rights holders and key internal and external stakeholders, in order to generate positive media coverage and manage reputational risk for EDF Energy on sponsorship, brand and other issues at a national, regional and trade level.

To work with the Media Relations Team to deliver a co-ordinated proactive and reactive media relations service to national, regional and trade media

Provide a media relations service to the Brand Group and ESCS teams and support them in both proactive and reactive media activity on relevant issues for national, regional and trade media

Supporting the Senior Media Relations Manager to manage and maintain relationships with our PR agency and oversee strategic output and implementation of agreed objectives, ensuring that the correct return on investment is achieved

Prepare and deliver agency briefs and manage evaluation process for brand and sponsorship project-based activity

Working with the Senior Media Relations Manager to create a year-round, proactive PR programme in support of the the company's sponsorship programme, ensuring maximum PR exploitation of the rights inventory

Manage budgets for specific PR campaigns and all proactive Brand/London 2012-related PR.

To participate in the out-of-office hours duty press office rota and to support the company's response to a system emergency or other crisis

·Demonstrated ability to deliver successful media relations.

·An understanding of the media and its operation and in particular of what makes a good news story.

·Thorough understanding of the value of a strong and consistent brand and a clear appreciation of how Sponsorship and PR can create an interactive platform to communicate and engage with our key stakeholders in order to build brand salience/preference.

·A proven track record of work, either as a journalist or in a Press Office/Public Relations capacity.
