You will be an experienced PR professional and your duties will include:
* Drafting press releases and letters for publication. Identifying proactive media opportunities for all areas of the departments work
* Commissioning and contributing to briefing material
* Proactive briefing of media. Responding to day to day media enquiries
* Arranging media interviews
* Developing relationships with key officials, correspondents and press officers in other departments It is desirable to have experience of Public/Central Government sector
