Our client, one of the leaders in the telecommunications industry in Belgium, is looking for a Presales Project Manager to join their current team.
As Presales Project Manager, your job is situated in the Enterprise Business Unit (EBU) addressing large companies as well as small and medium sized enterprises.
What would your main tasks be like?
*You will be responsible for answering RFP's and presales requests by determining the project approach, planning and costing. Together with the bid team you will work out a winning proposal.
*You will define together with the bid team the project life cycle that suits best the environment and culture of the customer. Your migration strategy is aligned with the industry best practices for the various solutions.
*You will give the customer confidence to do business with the company.
*You support your Sales colleagues in strategic discussions with the customer.
Your customers will belong to either the EBU ME (Medium Enterprises) or COR (Corporate Clients) segment. Project budgets can range from Euros 100.000 to Euros 2,5 million. Your customer contacts are to be situated mostly at middle to senior management level.
The projects are based on a tailor made TELCO and ICT solutions and have for our customers a strategic character with a medium to high business complexity (eg. migration of customer environment from technology 'A' to 'B' without operational customer impact, implementing new solutions involving the creation of tailor made customer operational processes, ...).
What type of profile are we looking for?
*You have 6 years of relevant working experience (eg working in a customer facing environment) of which at least 4 years in ICT Infrastructure and Telco projects as project manager, consultant or presales;
*You are commercial minded.
*You have excellent communication skills
*You know project management methodologies (eg PRINCE II) and you are efficiently organized.
*You understand technology and you are capable to explain technology in human language.
*You can break a project down into pieces and you can estimate the required workload.
*Your self-learning skills allow you to understand, in no time and independently, the organization and to gain insight in the client's business models.
*Your out-of-the-box thinking skills and analytical mind-set help you in solving problems.
*You are trilingual French/Dutch/English.
*Your action-oriented approach and efficient organization allows you to deal with multiple projects simultaneously.
*With your communication skills you are capable of convincing others, building trust and gaining customer confidence.
*Your positive attitude allows you to deal with resistance and/or setbacks.
*Your stress resistance allows you to deal correctly with emotional reactions.

Ideally, you have a university degree or equivalent.
You have a technical background allowing you, in short term, to gain strong knowledge in telecommunications and IT.
