Practice Manager required for work within the Initial Response Team in the Torquay area of Devon. £34 - £38 ph

Practice Manager is required to join a Children's team within the front line services Initial Response Team based in Torquay. Beautiful area on the South Coast. Candidates must be experienced, confident and have professional credibility within the Assessment setting at a management level within Social Care.

·To lead and manage a social work team, whose caseload will include care proceedings, children in need and children in care.
·Allocating and prioritising work.
·Managing staff and undertaking supervision and appraisal in accordance with policy.
·Analysing performance information to assist timeliness of assessments, reviews and other formally reported performance.
·Ensuring quality and content of assessments and plans in line with local and national guidance.
·Making decisions and judgements about risk of abuse within agreed management framework.
·Ensuring that permanency planning is in place and includes a range of options that will provide security of attachment and continuity of care.
·Involving service users and carers in planning and designing services
·Contributing to strategic/management meetings and effective multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
·Allow for the provision of high quality support and intervention for those with long term needs within children and families and early child protection matters. This professional social work service will work in close partnership with our multi agency preventative teams.
·Managing a diverse and complex caseload
·Constant contact within all teams of the Children's & Families Social Care and external agencies to address children's and their families needs with best possible outcomes.
·Supervising staff ensuring the continuity of delivery of service by the team. They must work within policies, procedures and standards required by Children

Requirements:
3 + years post qualifying experience within the relative team
Previous managerial/ supervisory experience within a statutory setting
HCPC
Current enhanced DBS (within last 12mths)
Recognised social work qualification
Ideally a driver with access to own car
Able to reside and work in the UK
