Powertrain Systems Engineer - 12 Month Initial Contract - Gothenburg - 400-450 Swedish Krona per hour(£40/45)
Powertrain systms engineer needed for calibrating, verifying and monitoring changes in the motor control software supplied by the automotive client.
The work can be dividided into two categories; the first category involves working with the latest software in non-production-set engines. The second category is quality changes for older engines that have been in production for a while.
Category 1:
Category one revolves around the verification of the status of the trucks. The verification is done mostly in the HIL rig which is a National Instruments LabView rig.
There are 4 rigs and testing is mainly manual.
You do not need to have any direct LabView experience to run the rig.
However, it is important to know ATI Vision and knowledge of large diesel engines is definitely an advantage.
Knowledge of Simulink layouts is a positive.
Category 2:
Jobs consist of releasing software for older engines for production and aftermarket.
In some cases, new calibration may need to be created.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with diesel engines
Experience of calibration/optimisation work for engines
Experience of running automated tests in HIL rigs.
