Powertrain Lead Engineer

Powertrain Lead Engineer - West Midlands - Contract 6 months

My client is looking for an experienced lead engineer, to join a pro-active team in a new powertrain project based in the West Midlands. The successful lead engineer will have the following responsibilities;
Assistant the Project Manager and working alongside them, to ensure the project runs smoothly from design to launch stage.

*Leads and conducts detailed product/system analysis through simulation, FEA, calculations and related means

*Outlines and deliver new development and implantation of engineering systems and processes.

*Using existing technology and applying it to the new product and supplying this to the client.

*Interacts with customers, problem solving and cost reduction activities.

*Preparation of project timing plans

*Reviewing of orders

*Overseeing the engineering process of the manufacturing of the powertrain components.

The experienced candidate will also have:
*High level of experience with powertrain automotive machinery.

*Experience of assisting a project manager within an automotive background.

*Ability to work to deadlines

My client is a global, independent company, responsible for the development of powertrain systems in a new and exciting project based in the West-Midlands. The client has a growing presence within the industry, being a major supplier for a lot of OEM's.
