Powertrain Design / Project Manager - £26.77ph on a limited company basis - Automotive - West Midlands

A Powertrain Design / Project Manager with a background using Catia V5 within a powertrain capacity is required for a long term contract within a global automotive OEM.

The Powertrain Design / Project Manager will be required to manage and implement design solutions within the Powertrain APC CAD Packaging team with respect to the installation of in-line and Vee engines into both existing and future platforms. Role will involve circa 60%-70% of time project managing the delivery / coordination process and circa 30%-40% CAD engineering. Hardware responsibilities include Base Engines, Transmission and Driveline. Interfacing with the Vehicle Package teams across client sites will be a significant part of the role.

The Powertrain Design / Project Manager should be have the following skills:

* CATIA V5.
* Familiarity with vehicle installation requirements and powertrain functionality are essential. Proven ability to work with cross functional teams with opposing views / requirements is required.
* Good team co-ordination and communication skills.
* Experience of new model programs packaging and delivery across multiple platforms.
* Degree education would be preferred but not mandatory.
