Powertrain Air Induction System Lead Engineer

Contract Rate £23.00 per hour Ltd Co

Position description:
Powertrain Air-Induction System Lead Engineer, responsible for the design, development and release of a complete vehicle AIS system.

Skills Required:

* Component engineering and development skills, preferably in plastic or flexible hose/duct components.
* Knowledge of Powertrain air handling and charge systems and technologies (preferred but not essential).
* Working knowledge of OEM Releasing System (WERS) would be a distinct advantage. Experience with the tools of engineering quality (FMEA, 8D, 6 Sigma, etc.). Excellent administrative skills and level of organization.

Skills Preferred:
Experience in performance tuning and/or sports/performance niche model development. Working knowledge of OEM processes e.g. eFDVS, GPDS, etc. Experience of delivering NVH targets.

Experience Required:

* Experience of Automotive OEM Design and Release processes.
* Candidates should have working knowledge of Powertrain Air Induction systems design and function.
* AIS component design, test and development.

Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of Air Handling component manufacturing and durability requirements would be a distinct advantage.

Education Required:
Candidates must have a minimum of HND in a Mechanical or Fluid Engineering discipline, ideally educated to Degree level.
