Powerbuilder Developer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a dynamic POWERBUILDER DEVELOPER to join our energy sector client located in Charlotte, NC.

JOB OVERVIEW:
- This is a one year long opportunity with a very competitive pay rate.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a senior application developer on the project team which integrates the two Legacy systems.
- Design and build or modify Powerplant reports written in the PowerBuilder language. The developer will assist with data conversion, and will also help with resolution of issues encountered during system testing and performance testing.
- Assist with general application deployment tasks.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field and at least five (5) plus years of application development and support experience
- Interpersonal and strong communication skills to interact with customers and peers in a timely, tactful, and effective manner
- Ability to balance the needs of the business with the needs of IT
- Ability to effectively prioritize activities
- Proven ability to work in a team environment to solve complex problems using resources from areas outside of application support.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
- PowerBuilder Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle (SQL commands and troubleshooting)

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Understanding of corporate financial functions
- Experience with App and Database Integration and ESP job scheduling Previous experience working with Dimensions, Piccasso and SharePoint
