Power Electronic Hardware Engineer

Power Electronic Hardware Engineer, Power Electronics, Schematics, PCB Design - 3m contract - £40p/h

I am looking for a Power Electronics Engineer with PCB Layout skills and experience of high power electronics. Ideally you will have designed and layed out boards for 50 to 270kW grid-tied inverters or other high power electronics.

Outline:

1. at least 5 years of experience of circuit design and PCB layout design in a cost sensitive market preferably using Altium including:
a. Embedded Microcontroller/DSP circuits
b. High power PCBs, gate drivers, voltage isolation requirements
c. Analogue signal conditioning circuits for a variety of types of measurements
d. Serial comms circuits, eg RS232, CANbus, SPI etc
2. Experience in circuit and system simulation tools such as PLECS, PSIM, Saber, Matlab/Simulink, PSPICE, EMTP, etc.
3. Experience with 50 to 270kW grid-tied inverters
4. Experience developing thermal management approaches for power electronics
