Postgresql DBA

POSTGRESQL DBA/JBOSS ADMINISTRATOR, TITCHFIELD, 3 MONTHS

My client is looking for a Postgresql DBA/Jboss Administrator who has strong technical skills in the postgresql relational database management system running on RedHat Enterprise Linux operating systems.

The successful candidate must also have strong technical skills in the JBoss Application Server The candidate will provide Postgresql support in a development and production environment, covering installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery and problem solving

The role also involves the support and administration of JBoss Application Server. This will include providing support in a development and production environment covering; installation, configuration, clustering, performance tuning, backup and recovery and problem solving

To be successful for the role you will have:-

- Experience of the postgresql relational database management system
- A strong background with RedHat Enterprise Linux operating systems
- Technical knowledge of JBoss application
- Preferably you will have a background as an Oracle DBA
- You will be able to analyse problems and evaluate solutions
- A proven track record building effective relationships and uses appropriate methods to convey the relevant information
- Experience of working in a development and production environment
