Postgres SQL DBA

SolTech, a local leading-edge technology services firm, is looking for a contract PostGRES SQL DBA to help support current applications and platforms that are using PostGRES SQL/Open Source databases.

- Support current applications and platforms using PostgreSQL/Open Source Databases.
- Must be adept at configuration, installation, support and administration including performance tuning, troubleshooting, etc.
- Any experience with Oracle Databases or Oracle Ebusiness Suite is a plus.
- 4+ years experience in supporting PostgreSQL databases.
- Install and configure PostgreSQL databases.Experience with database design, data model, and code development in Postgres and Oracle.
- Experience working with developer in reviewing and tuning code.
- Experience with PostgreSQL replications, backup/recovery.Experience with Linux and Shell Scripting.
- Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Committed to standardization process, and documentation.
- Experience as Oracle DBA with RAC and ASM in UNIX environment.
- Ability to work out-of-office hour, and supporting the on-call rotation (7x24 support).
- Experience in code migration, database change management through various stages of development life cycle.Highly motivated with a commitment to quality service.Ability to be a team player and to work independently
- Willingness to learn new technology.
- Desirable:Experience as Oracle Applications DBA, supporting Oracle eBusiness
