Postdoctoral Training Position

POSTDOCTORAL TRAINING POSITION AVAILABLE AT NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, CHICAGO

The Training Program in Signal Transduction and Cancer at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center (RHLCCC) of Northwestern University has one postdoctoral fellowship position available. This T32 Training Program has been continuously supported by the National Cancer Institute since 1997, with the most recent renewal in September 2012. The Program Director is Leonidas C. Platanias, MD, PhD, Professor of Medicine and Deputy Director of the RHLCCC. Under the guidance of national funded faculty preceptors, postdoctoral fellows receive training in several research areas, including cytokine and oncogene signaling, signaling pathways in malignancies; interferon signaling; mRNA translation and transcriptional regulation, as well as therapeutic targeting of signaling elements in malignancies. Postdoctoral appointments are for two years. Self-motivated scientists, who are US citizens or permanent residents and have received their PhD doctoral degree within the last two years, are eligible to apply.
