IHRE AUFGABEN:

- Provide expertise in the field of gut health, pre & probiotics within the research and development department to develop probiotic and nutritional supplements for human nutrition
- Set up the laboratory, plan and conduct experiments to generate scientific support of the efficacy and mode of action of different nutritional compounds, including prebiotics, on intestinal flora or on single probiotics
- Plan, conduct & evaluate mode of action and biomarker studies for probiotic product development
- Interpretation of scientific data and translate scientific findings into products that benefit human health
- Reporting and presenting scientific data (internally and externally)
- Contribute to internal/international project teams, regulatory affairs and marketing in the field of gut health

IHRE QUALIFIKATIONEN:

- D. in Microbiology, Food Science, or Human Nutrition or in related disciplines
- Scientific and hands-on expertise in probiotics, prebiotics, analysis of microbiome and its metabolites, gastrointestinal research
- Profound experience with model systems of probiotic research is required
- Hands on experience using the standard tools and methods of microbiology, especially in vitro models of colonic fermentation
- Interest and ability to work within the labs of R additional language skills would be an advantage, e.g. German
- Strong organizational and planning skills and good writing, presentation and computer skills, including MS-Office are required
