Postdoctoral Research Associate, Pathology

A postdoctoral fellowship is available to study mechanisms of T cell immune regulation in autoimmune diseases in the laboratory of Terrence Geiger. Our research involves cellular, molecular, and genetic approaches. Ongoing projects are directed toward understanding how regulatory T cells develop and protect against autoimmunity in the central nervous system, and identifying determinants that promote pathogenicity among autoreactive effector T cells. We are particularly focused on how TCR recognition endows cells with regulatory and effector functions, the role of IL-10 in modulating autoimmunity, and the genetic control of regulatory T cell survival and activity.
