The POSTDOCTORAL RECRUITER provides advice and guidance to the Office of Academic Programs regarding all aspects of the recruiting, interviewing and selection process. Works as a team member to meet the postdoctoral recruitment needs of the institution. Works with the Associate Director to develop and implement creative recruiting strategies that meet the postdoctoral fellow employment needs of the institution. Participates in conferences/meetings/career fairs to promote postdoctoral openings at St. Jude. Follows up with candidates, collects CVs and reference letters, and distributes to appropriate faculty. Schedules on-site interview visits upon faculty request. Cultivates positive relationships with principal investigators, resulting in a perception of the Office of Academic Programs as a highly skilled and effective office. Assists with development and distribution of advertising materials. Works with BMC and with other agencies to develop first-class materials for recruiting purposes. Assists with maintenance of recruitment database. Assists with special recruitment events such as the St. Jude National Graduate Student Symposium. Understands and applies institutional policies in the completion of check requests, travel authorizations, expense reports, and other required documentation. Operates a motor vehicle to assist with postdoctoral recruiting. Performs other related duties as assigned in order to meet the goals and objectives of the office and institution.
