Postdoctoral Position in Statistical Genetics/Genomics

Projektbeschreibung

We are recruiting highly motivated and creative team players to help us develop innovative methods that will elucidate the genetic architecture of complex traits using genome-wide marker data. This NIH funded work is being conducted at the Institute for Behavioral Genetics (IBG), University of Colorado, Boulder (Matthew Keller & Matt Jones) in collaboration with the University of Queensland (Peter Visscher).

We are using SNPs, sequence data, and identity-by-descent haplotypes to gain traction on the importance of rare vs. common variants, the directional dominance of risk alleles, the degree of non-additivity of risk alleles, and the degree of genetic heterogeneity underlying traits. Current team at IBG includes two postdocs, three graduate students, two computer programmers, and a research associate.
