Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bioinformatics

The Division of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics of the U.S FDA's National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) seeks three qualified postdoctoral candidates in the field of bioinformatics and/or genomics. The positions are open immediately. These positions require a diverse range of expertise in data mining, machine learning, statistics, biological database manipulation and biology.

The FDA Jefferson Laboratories complex is located approximately 30 miles south/southeast of Little Rock, Arkansas. The campus houses NCTR and the Arkansas Regional Laboratory of FDA's Office of Regulatory Affairs. The Research Participation Program for FDA is administered by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). The initial appointment is for one year, but may be renewed upon recommendation of FDA contingent on the availability of funds. The participants will receive a monthly stipend depending on educational level and experience. The participants must show proof of health insurance to start the positions. The appointments are full-time at FDA in Jefferson, Arkansas. Participants do not become employees of FDA or the program administrator, and there are no fringe benefits paid.
