POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW OPPORTUNITIES

GEISINGER TRANSLATIONAL AND MOLECULAR MEDICINE PROGRAM

The Translational and Molecular Medicine Program at Geisinger Health System brings together established investigators with multi-disciplinary expertise to create outstanding opportunities for research into the genetic and molecular bases of human diseases. These studies conduct in-depth biological, cellular, and molecular analyses of various disease models, including cancer, congenital heart disease, epilepsy, neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, and obesity. Adding to their clinical impact, these studies utilize the rich genotype and phenotype information that is available on our patient population to develop and test specific hypotheses regarding gene functions and the impact of their genetic variants on clinical traits.

Applications from recent MD or PhD graduates ( These positions provide funding, a clear set of aims, and the opportunity to make new discoveries that can be rapidly translated into clinical care. Preference will be given to suitably qualified and highly motivated individuals demonstrating strong writing skills.
