Postdoctoral Fellow - NCRC (1)

The Post-Doctoral Fellowship position will work under the Direction of Dr. Wei Jia, at the Center for Translational Biomedical Research, which is located in the Nutrition Research Building of the North Carolina Research Campus, Kannapolis, NC.

This position is expected to focus on the development and utilization of metabolomic profiling approaches that enhance our basic understanding of the metabolic disorders, such as alcohol induced fatty liver, and the treatment effect of dietary components.

Responsibilities for the position will include: participating in the mechanistic study of human metabolic disorders such as fatty liver and obesity, conducting lab experiments including separation and analysis of biological specimens and botanical extracts, and metabolic data acquisition, analysis and interpretation, assisting Center Co-Director to manage the research projects and supervise graduate and undergraduate students. The position will also be participating in the daily interaction among research programs and faculty from the other institutions, the NCRC Core Lab (David H. Murdock Research Institute), as well as other research facilities on the UNCG campus.
