Post-Doctoral Fellow

The division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of University of Missouri at Columbia has immediate opening for one post-doctoral research associate position in hepatic lipid metabolism research. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a Ph.D. in molecular biology, microbiology, or related field. A strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, signal transduction as well as knowledge of lipid metabolism is required. The candidate will be responsible for experimental animal handling. Experience in mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation and animal models for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is preferred and will be considered as an additional experience in the selection process. The ideal candidate would possess peer-reviewed publications, the ability to write manuscripts and a strong interest to contribute to a robust research program while learning new techniques and skill.
