Positioning System Engineer/Software Developer

This opening is for a Positioning System Engineer Software Developer. The role will modify and develop positioning system algorithms for several machine applications.

SKILLS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS or greater degree in electrical/computer or mechanical engineering with a specific focus on positioning systems.
- Strong coding skills in an object-oriented codebase (C++, C#).
- The ability to understand existing code, write new code, modify, and debug.
- Experience with positioning system algorithm development.
- This requires in depth experience with Kalman Filter/Sensor Fusion techniques and the integration of positioning sensors such as GPS, IMU, Odometry, Perception based positioning utilizing vision systems.
- Confident user of Matlab and Simulink model based coding for Real Time control systems.
- Strong object-oriented design skills (ability to understand the big picture and contribute to architecture design).
- Proven ability to be a self-motivated member of a tight-knit team.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Experience with multi-threaded application(s) development and debugging.
- Potential travel.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in GPS Navigation, positioning algorithms
- Development experience in Linux.
- Development for x86 architecture.
- Porting Experience (eg C# on Windows to C++ in Linux).
- Development with Vector CAN tools, including CANape.
- Experience field-testing algorithms & software Experience in cross-functional teams with a history of close working relationships with engineers, customers & designers outside of the SW development field.
- Algorithm design experience.
- Product design experience.
- UI design experience.
- Machine control logic experience.
- Mechanical or system intuition Robotics experience.
- Ground robot experience.
- Application background in off-road vehicles.
