JOB PURPOSE
As a Risk Analyst in Portfolio Risk Management you will contribute to ensuring that risk adjusted income is maximised through proactive analysis, assessment, monitoring and development of a credit portfolio. You will have responsibility for representing the bank internally on projects and with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, analyse and assess creditworthiness of a portfolio, across the credit life cycle.
- Produce data, analysis and MI to highlight issues, emerging risks, resolve problems, identify risk adjusted opportunities and improve process performance
- Translate analysis and MI into process and strategy changes that minimise cost, maximise efficiency and risk adjusted returns.
- Ensure that portfolio performance issues are successfully identified, addressed and documented
- Deliver varied and complex internal and external analytical projects, playing an integral part in the development of new projects
Requirements:
- Experience of working as an Analyst within a retail banking environment.
- Strong analytical skills SAS/SQL - essential.
- Financially aware, able to demonstrate an understanding of financial accounts and of lending and recoveries strategies
