Portfolio Reconciliations Specialist

A leading Tier 1 investment bank is currently seeking a professional to act as a Portfolio Reconciliations specialist sitting within the Middle Office.

The successful candidate should expect to be involved in:

- Reconciling cross asset class OTC derivative portfolios. This will be done with collateralised clients. in order to identify booking errors in FO trading systems and missing trades
- Start new processes to deal with upcoming Regulatory Requirements under Dodd Frank and EMIR.
- Providing root cause analysis inconsistencies involved with portfolio and presenting to senior management.
- Creating monthly MIS on the number of breaks resolved and the overall impact.
- Liaising with the collateral management unit to Identify an effective solution to dispute resolution.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with various different industry counterparts to facilitate quick resolution of portfolio discrepancies.
- Work with Middle Office within the Interest Rate, Fixed Income, Equity, FX, and Commodities & Credit Businesses in order to identify any trade booking issues that may occur and resolve them.

The type of person required involves:

- Have a minimum of A level or equivalent qualification
- Financial Services/Banking industry experience,
- Strong desire to develop a career in Banking
- experience with the Securities/Repo market
- Excellent communication skills

- Well organised with the able to work to tight deadlines.
- Able to work well within a small team
