The place 'This role can be based at any of Land Registry's offices but a minimum of 3 days per week must be in Head Office, Croydon. The historic town of Croydon, one of London's leading business, financial and cultural centres provides a great setting for the Portfolio Planner to work.

Portfolio Management Office ' As part of the Portfolio Management Office you will be at the heart of the Land Registry Business Strategy. The strategy is focussed on organisation wide transformational change focussing on the digital delivery of services and enabling the efficient reuse of our data.

The job ' As a member of the Portfolio Management Office you will significantly contribute to the planning, costing and reporting of several programmes of work within the overall portfolio of change. As the Portfolio Planner you will have the opportunity to develop fully resourced and costed Programme plans using data provided by the Portfolio, Programme and Project management teams. You will be involved with the maintenance of plans and schedules of reporting for the Portfolio, monitoring progress, refining plans and schedules, implementing change and configuration control systems. The Portfolio Planner will be responsible for critical path analysis and trend forecasts, the identification and monitoring of interdependencies within the portfolio and the provision of progress reports to each Programme Manager including performance and schedule information.

The successful Portfolio Planner must have gained Prince2 / ITIL or equivalent qualifications, be formally trained in MS Project and have gained significant experience in the practical application of these skills. You are required to have undergone Agile methodology training and to have had previous exposure of working within Agile delivery programmes. The Portfolio Planner must have demonstrable skills and experience with Microsoft Office Packages, specifically MS Project, Excel and Access and have strong skills and experience of strategic planning and schedule development at Portfolio, Programme and Project level.

It is desirable but by no means vital for the Portfolio Planner to be a qualified MSP Practitioner or the equivalent and to have gained experience of working within an organisational level PMO. Experience of coaching and mentoring others and working within Central Government are also desirable.
