Portfolio manager - Portfolio Lead/Programme Manager/regulatory change programme/TCF/treating customers fairly/Risk management/financial services/required by our major blue chip Client based in Manchester for a 6 month contract paying £650/day. Essential skills are programme/portfolio leads who have experience of running major technology programmes/portfolios previously particularly around regulatory change TCF experience a major bonus.

- Experience of a wide range of major and technology centric complex projects (in terms of value, numbers of people and organisations involved and technical and business complexity)
- Experience of dealing with major stakeholders and large suppliers.
- Proven experience of translating strategic plans into pragmatic delivery programmes.
- Substantial programme and/or project portfolio management experience in a relevant environment
- Deep knowledge business, technical and programme management processes and procedures
- Deep understanding of relevant legal and regulatory issues and constraints Particularly TCF
- Track record of managing a number of major, complex and sensitive projects successfully.
- Substantial experience of delivery success through effective management of virtual teams.
- Expert in all aspects of the Risk Management process
- Expert level planning and scheduling skills, ensuring the complex activities of interrelated project teams are controlled, co-ordinated and linked into the overall business plan.
- High level problem solving and financial control skills
- Substantial understanding of commercial, financial and legislative requirements of programmes and/or projects
- Significant political and cultural awareness in areas relating to the business
- Able to present effectively at major meetings/conferences.
- Expert networking, presentation, negotiating and influencing skills used at a senior level with stakeholders, suppliers, partners and sub-contractors.
- Proven strategic thinking and communication ability.
- Strong ability to manage budgets and interpret financial data
- Highly-developed interpersonal and communication skills, able to have a major impact in client situations and supplier negotiations.
- Able to think strategically and communicate a strategy/vision effectively
- Substantial commercial and financial understanding, including industry legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Substantial knowledge of the business, its operations (business and IT) and the industry.
- Full understanding of large, complex project management in a technology environment.
- Track record of adding substantial value by programme and/or project management
