Portfolio Manager - CAD/CATIA

We are currently looking to recruit a Portfolio Manager as part of our continued growth.

The Role

Description
Specific requirements will be delivering the vision to capture 'Best in class' engineering knowledge and embed this knowledge into the Geometry Authoring toolsets and provide a robust creation method of 3D Geometry. It will involve working closely with the Business Lead and technical team to ensure the business requirements are met by the portfolio of projects that have been set up.

Accountabilities
. Identification of the umbrellas and projects required to deliver against the scope of the Business Improvement Portfolio, BIP.
. Work with the BIP Business Lead to ensure scope and objectives are met.
. Communication of scope/objectives/plan to the BIP Business Lead and BIP Champion.
. Manage the overall BIP umbrella project through it's gateways.
. Lead interface to the i-PLM Programme.
. Escalate appropriate risks/issues to the i-PLM Programme.
. Supports the project delivery through deployment phase.
. Manage change requests through the i-PLM Governance structure.
. Negotiates the 'art of the possible' between the programme team and the business.
. Gather future business requirements to enhance capability and maximise benefit to the business.
. Deliver BIP level artefacts to support each Programme gateway
. Identify and manage closure of risks/issues/assumptions/requirements/change etc. (Single voice of the BIP into the Programme Team).

The Person

The successful candidate should possess the following skills/qualifications (listed in order of importance):
. High level of project management skills.
. Experience of working in a Programme and Portfolio environment .
. History of achievement in delivering complex projects and programmes.
. Knowledge of CAD Creation process and tools.
. Excellent communication and presentation skills .
. Highly self motivated.
. Experience in automotive engineering would be valuable, but we will consider alternatives, such as SAP implementation and more general change management experience.
