Portfolio Manager

We are currently looking to recruit a Portfolio Manager in Financial and Data Management as part of our continued growth. Specific requirements will be delivering the vision for an integrated programme of financial and data management building on existing process improvement objectives and ensuring we have optimised the reporting between earlier assumptions and the maturing design/engineering/supply information. There will also be a need to ensure the capture of business assumptions in support of robust decision making at each PCS Gateway. It will involve working closely with the Business Lead and technical team to ensure the business requirements are met by the portfolio of projects that have been set up.

Accountabilities
*Identification of the umbrellas and projects required to deliver against the scope of the Business Improvement Portfolio, BIP
*Work with the BIP Business Lead to ensure scope and objectives are met
*Communication of scope/objectives/plan to the BIP Business Lead and BIP Champion
*Manage the overall BIP umbrella project through it's gateways.
*Lead interface to the Programme.
*Escalate appropriate risks/issues to the Programme
*Supports the project delivery team via the Project Manager.
*Manage change requests through the Governance structure.
*Negotiates the 'art of the possible' between the programme team and the business
*Deliver BIP level artefacts to support each Programme gateway
*Identify and manage closure of risks/issues/assumptions/requirements/change etc. (Single voice of the BIP into the Programme Team)

The Person
The successful candidate should possess the following skills/qualifications (listed in order of importance):
*High level of project management skills
*Experience of working in a Programme and Portfolio environment
*History of achievement in delivering complex projects and programmes
*Excellent communication and presentation skills
*Highly self motivated
*Experience in automotive engineering would be valuable, but we will consider alternatives, such as SAP implementation and more general change management experience.
