PORTFOLIO ANALYST/PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT SUPPORT - LONDON

CONTRACT - FINANCIAL SERVICES - £150PD

To maintain portfolio transaction and position information for the purposes of supporting portfolio management activity and client reporting. In addition, assisting in ad-hoc functions within the Portfolio Management Support function for a global Powerhouse in investment banking.

IMPACT ON THE BUSINESS

- Reconciliation of portfolio information including tracking receipt of custodian and underlying hedge fund information with timely resolution of breaks and escalation of issues
- Pricing portfolio positions including ensuring regular receipt of information from hedge funds
- Assisting with portfolio valuation process including supporting the interaction with external administrators and verification of information received
- Assisting with the client requests and addressing queries.

MAJOR CHALLENGES:

- To ensure completion of tasks in a timely and diligent manner.
- To ensure timely and appropriate interaction with client and service providers for resolution of queries & issues
- To maintain a robust processing approach with on-going improvement of process and documentation
- To develop awareness of the business and infrastructure to ensure appropriate interaction and involvement

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree qualification and good working knowledge of Excel.
- Experience in identifying and resolving reconciliation breaks (holding & cash), data input (pricing)
- Critical and logical thinking a must
- The candidate needs be organised, detail minded and able to meet timelines.
- Have strong interpersonal skills to work well in a team environment.
- Experience of finance or operational environment in the Fund of Hedge Funds asset class would be beneficial.
