Polymer Laboratory Technician Job

POLYMER LABORATORY TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, DE.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Experience with polymer chemistry.
- Experience with pigment dispersion using lab scale mills.
- Experience with lab scale and pilot scale reactors.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Preparation of pigment dispersion using lab scale mills.
- Preparation and evaluation of coating formulations including undercoats, basecoats and clear coats using mixing equipment and various spray equipment.
- Preparation and operation of lab scale and pilot scale reactors.
- Accurately running and recording test results for all coatings formulations, polymers, dispersions and intermediates.
- Safely handle, categorize and dispose of chemicals on a routine basis.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a chemical laboratory.
- Experience with pigment dispersion using lab scale mills.
- Experience with coating formulations including undercoats, basecoats and clear coats using mixing equipment and various spray equipment.
- Experience with lab scale and pilot scale reactors.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Science preferred.
