POLICY MANAGER - HEALTHCARE (EXAMINATIONS) - LONDON - CONTRACT

My client is a leading player in the healthcare/hospitals sector and they have an urgent requirement for a highly skilled Policy Manager to join their team based in London on a contract basis.
The organisation plays a key role in setting standards/quality of medical practice in hospitals.
This includes conducting examinations, training and education and they advise the government/profession on health and medical matters.

The main purpose of this role is to lead the team of academic policy officers ensuring that all the examinations meet the relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
*Development of the academic quality of the portfolio of examinations
*Dealing with all aspects of the companies regulatory framework, ensuring it is up to date and meets all legal and regulatory requirements.
*To advise and lead on all cases of suspected misconduct.
*The recruitment, management and training of all Board Officers ensuring that they have the necessary support to fulfil their roles.
*Keep up to date with current practice in medical assessments.
*Represent and where necessary communicate the companies policies externally.
*Providing excellent administrative support for the management board.
*Liaise with the Operations teams to ensure the delivery of the exams reflects current and future regulatory requirements and conversely that operational input is sought and considered when developing processes and regulations.
*Responsible for management of budgets as agreed.
*Adhere and comply with the provisions of the companies Health and Safety Policy

Skills + Experience required for this role:
*Knowledge and experience of education and assessments and experience of working with examinations
*Knowledge and experience of academic governance and regulatory matters
*Experienced in using Microsoft Office and Outlook
*Experience of managing a team
*Ability to motivate staff and colleagues
*Demonstrates excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and able to translate complex policy material into clear and concise written reports and documents.
*Demonstrates ability to think logically, objectively and impartially
*Demonstrates ability to plan ahead and implement policy decisions in a timely way
*Ideally some experience in Medical education or assessments
*Ideally some experience in public speaking and or training.
*Demonstrate experience of successful networking with external organizations.
