Policy Advisor

Our Public Sector Client requires a Policy Advisor (SEO) for a 6 month contract in Central London.

This post seeks an individual with expertise of working with Public Sector Transport Organisations and/or Local Government cycling policy as well as a strong understanding of how Central Government operates.

The post is to develop a strategic cross-Government solution to cycling.

Knowledge Required
- Knowledge of cycling
- Knowledge of Public Sector Transport Organisations
- Understanding of how English Local Government works

Key Tasks
- Building strong links with other public sector tansport organisations, understanding the operations of those that have ensured a success cycling framework, determining how to roll that out more widely
- Creating the necessary corporate, legal and funding regimes to ensure the smooth establishment of a 'cycling body'
- Preparing for future funding options for cycling
