PMST / Project Leaders - Body / Interior

CH Recruitment are looking for a number of Project Engineers/ PMST Leaders based in the Midlands with a major OEM.
The candidates need to have some experience in Automotive Body Engineering.

This role is one of a number covering various areas within the Body Division.

Position Description:
*Project / PMST role leading Inttoduction and development of new and modified features requested by Project Teams and end user Customers.
*The candidate will interface with both Tier 1 suppliers and internal departments to ensure targets are met in the development of components for Interior Trim enhancements *They will have undergone formal training and be able to provide accredited training certificates to support this.
*Engineering Design/ Development background within Automotive Trim or similar for Interior components, ideally having worked within both OEM and Tier 1 trim suppliers . *The job will entail Structuring Release packages and liaison with suppliers.
*Part of the job will be direct interface with nominated suppliers.
*You must be capable authoring robust plans to ensure company test procedures are deployed.
*Your will posses both strong project management skills and business skills .

Skills Required:
*A good working knowledge of Key manufacturing processes for interior trim components and capable of leading designs at the outset to ensure components are feasible for manufacturing purposes chosen.
*Ideally having the breadth of knowledge to enable focusing on Low /Medium volume manufacturing opportunities where required.
*You will have already gained experience of design / development and validation processes for a range of components / assemblies encompassing materials selection and covering processes including, plastics / fabrications plus veneers, leather, foils and paints for interior trim.
*Candidates will be able to lead the design / development process utilising tools within the Quality arena such as DFMEA.
*Ideally you will have worked within a Ford or JLR company.

Experience Required:
*Must have Automotive experience and have worked supporting both design and manufacturing functions. A working knowledge of component manufacture, tooling requirements and leadtimes would be a distinct advantage

Education Required:
*HND / Degree level with considerable post training experience
