PMO (PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT OFFICE) - DATACENTRE MIGRATION (ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: PMO AND BILINGUAL ENGLISH AND TURKISH)
THE POSITION IS BASED IN ISTANBUL MONDAY TO FRIDAY, FLYING HOME FOR THE WEEKENDS.
NATURE OF THE ROLE:
The Datacentre Migration PMO will initially report to the Programme Manager. We foresee this transitioning to a reporting line into the Senior PMO over a six month period.
Initially, the role will be to assist the Programme Manager in developing the overall Programme library and developing the initial Programme communications channels. Longer term, the task will be to assist the senior PMO to maintain and run the Programme Library and communications channels.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:
This is a complex migration, with multiple stakeholders. In addition, it is likely that much of the Programme effort will be carried out by Turkish subcontractors.
Whilst the Programme is run in English and most, if not all resources involved with the Programme have a good grasp of English, many are considerably more comfortable in Turkish.
Consequently, this is a role that will require fluency in both languages.
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the PMO function, gained through practical experience in more than one IT Programme (ideally but not necessarily DC migration programmes). This level of experience is unlikely to have been developed in less than 5 years.
Suitable candidates will have well developed skills in the MS Office toolkit. They will have well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to be persistent in chasing resources for information whilst minimizing interpersonal conflict.
Suitable candidates will be highly organized and self-sufficient, able to improvise where necessary to meet the required objectives. They will have the ability to report progress accurately and dispassionately and will be able to demonstrate creativity and logic in their approach to the maintenance of Programme data in the library.
