My client, a leading UK Retail Bank, are currently recruiting for an accomplished PMO Manager to join a major growth programme within their Insurance division.

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

The programme is a Group led multi-workstream initiative which will review divisional strategies, in this case Insurance driven by Insurance Strategy, with a view to optimising and transforming the business for long term growth. The initial phase of the programme will run until late August 2014. It at which time findings will be reported to Group. 

CORE SKILLS

The requested role will directly support the Insurance 2014 initiative, co-ordinating governance and reporting activity (internally and to Group) across the Insurance workstreams.

Key accountabilities include:

- Developing an excellent understanding of Insurance 2014 requirements acting as a primary liaison point for PM, Group PMOs and Business leads dealing with them on matters of governance and reporting, developing strong relationships with senior stakeholders. 
- Establishment of effective governance, in conjunction with the Group PMO, processes and submission timelines delivering content focused outcomes and reporting which support key decision making for Insurance 2014.
- Identification and management of Risks, Issues, Dependencies.
- Pro-active management to ensure timely information is provided by PMO to all key stakeholders, Matrix managing where required inputs from other PMO/teams
- Ensuring all "workstreams" adopt and comply with required standards and policies.

DESIRED SKILLS

- 3 years + experience of portfolio or major programme governance, particularly establishing governance & reporting disciplines across multi-faceted programmes
- Previous experience of managing the governance and reporting requirements of a sizeable change programme
- A good understanding of all stages in the project life cycle, the governance impacts and the quality standards to be adhered to
- Strong and well developed ecommunication and stakeholder management skills with peer group and senior executives

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- Excellent team-working and organisational skills, ability to prioritise own tasks and work flexibly
- Extremely PC literate, with excellent Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills
- Good working knowledge of SharePoint and its use
- Excellent presentation skills
