PMO Manager - Retail Banking Group - Mortgage Transformation - Halifax

My client, a leading UK Retail Bank, are currently recruiting for a PMO Manager to work on a Mortgage Transformation project in one of their West Yorkshire offices.

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

Mortgage Transformation Programme is delivering change using a new, agile based delivery model

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Manages and controls a team to provide the governance, reporting, planning and support services for a large/medium project or a portfolio of smaller projects, managing PMO resources across the programme/projects whilst embedding common PMO methodologies, tools and processes to assist effective delivery within cost, quality and timescale objectives.

Finance

- Achievement of controllable costs and resources to target
- Provision of robust PMO infrastructure to support delivery of projects to time, quality and cost/benefit objectives

Build the business

- Delivery of own agreed plan
- Delivery of improved processes
- Evidence of influence through effective leverage of internal/external networks

Customer

- Key stakeholder satisfaction
- Quality of contribution and influence adding value to the business

CORE SKILLS

- Must have previous PMO experience - at least 18 months of working within this environment
- Experience of setting up a PMO team, the team is likely to expand to a further 2 people
- Understanding of project Governance
- Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels
- Good planning & organisational skills
- Flexible working
